Corporate Social Responsibility -

In 2004, the Center for Strategic Research and Development of Georgia was the first organization that started talking about the corporate social responsibility of business. Since then, in order to raise awareness and access expertise in this direction, the organization actively works with the general public, as well as with relevant state structures, civil organizations, the educational sector and business companies.

The aim of the program is to raise awareness of corporate social responsibility in Georgia and promote the establishment of responsible business activities, as well as the development of cooperation between different sectors.

The program team's work strategy implies, on the one hand, active work with business companies in terms of providing them with information and knowledge, and on the other hand, work with various sectors in order to establish an environment conducive to corporate social responsibility.

Accordingly, within the framework of the mentioned strategy, the team is focused on business companies to implement CSR standards in their activities, media to cover the relevant topics in a qualified manner, the government to create an appropriate institutional and legislative environment, and civil organizations to promote inter-sectoral cooperation.

First, the organization of the "Meliora" responsible competition of the state of Georgia

Since 2007, CSRDG has become an active member of the UN Global Compact regional network and an organizational supporter of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI).

We are the first organization to prepare and publish a sustainable development report according to GRI standards. Today, the organization offers consulting assistance to companies for the preparation of a sustainable development report in the GRI format.

Main achievements of the program

CSRDG was the first Georgian organization to publish a sustainable development report according to GRI international standards in 2009 and also prepared a Georgian version of the reporting nomenclature.
In 2011, together with four Georgian universities, a memorandum was signed on the promotion of CSR teaching in Georgian universities. The team of the department worked on the syllabus of the lecture course, which is still taught at the Caucasus University
In 2015, the Pro Bono Network of Georgia was founded on the initiative of CSRDG, which unites 22 leading Georgian companies. Since 2015, more than 100 different needs have been met through the mediation process
In 2018, he established the first national annual competition "Georgian Responsible Business Competition - MELIORA"
In 2018, he founded the annual "Georgian CSR Media Competition"
